Lines in the Sea
05:14
|
|||
I go down to the sea to see if you're there waiting for me
and I'll wait for you, oh I'll wait around to cross that line
but the lines in the sea, will they be there for me
when we've gone away and come back to the beach?
Oh the lines, the lines, the lines in the sea
will they still be there waiting for me
The lines, the lines, the lines in the sea
The lines, the lines, the lines in the sea
Now we've gone away, and lived life to the edge, now to return
and to know the pain to wait until the lines are gone.
but the lines in the sea, they've gone away from me
though we've returned and we're both ready to release.
The lines, the lines, the lines in the sea
I thought they'd still be waiting for me
Lines, lines, lines, lines, lines.
Oh the lines, the lines, the lines in the sea
The lines, the lines, the lines in the sea.
I thought they'd still be waiting for me.
Oh the lines.

Walking Past
04:25
|
|||
I’m walking down the street and I see you there
But instead of me, you stop and stare at someone walking past
Woah oh, this isn’t gonna last, not anymore no
I can’t do this anymore, no no no (walking past)
The smell of your hair leaves me wanting more (walking)
And if you are leaving now, bring me back some souvenirs (walking past)
Cause I need something more to remember you by. (hey)
When you notice me you walk right past
What’s the point if it’s not gonna last
So I walk on down to the river we knew
And forget everything, oh everything about you
I can’t do this anymore, no no no (walking past)
The smell of your hair leaves me wanting more (walking)
And if you are leaving now, bring me back my souvenirs (walking past)
Cause I need something more to remember you by.
No I can’t do this anymore, no no no (walking past)
The smell of your hair leaves me wanting more (walking)
And if you are leaving now, bring me back my souvenirs (walking past)
Cause I need something more
I’ve been thinkin a lot about if I’m special, but I don’t care
Cause what’s the point in being special if I can’t have you
What’s wrong with appreciating what’s in front of us when we’ve got it? Cause sure enough, just like the river, it will run right past yeah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Cause I need something more. Yeah
Cause I need something more.

More Than Diamonds
04:53
|
|||
I want to go outside, and catch some fireflies
I won’t be back until the morning comes around.
And I will try my best to catch one in my net
So I can bring it home and share it with you
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth
more than diamonds
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth
more than diamonds
She said; in the morning when you come home, I will be waiting for you.
Then I got back home with one in a jar.
All your things were gone except a burnt cigar
And now that you have left I have nothing to do
except go outside and catch some more fireflies
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth more than diamonds
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth more than diamonds
She said; in the morning when you come home, I will be waiting for you.
And as I walk around this empty house it falls down around me
I put up paintings, pictures, anything that might help to remind me
Of what life used to be before I went off chasing dreams like they were fireflies
They’re not meant to be put in jars, or they might suffocate.
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth more than diamonds
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth more than diamonds
She said; in the morning when you come home,
I will be waiting for you. I will be waiting for you.
Then you came back home with a firefly
And you put it in my hand that’s when my throat went dry
Then we went outside, you put your hand in mine
And we took those fireflies and we let them go free
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth more than diamonds
More than diamonds, more than diamonds I want to be something worth more than diamonds
She said; in the evening when you go, I will always be waiting for you.

Little World
03:38
|
|||
Hey there little world, why are you standing all alone
There’s no doubt about it I can’t make it on my own
There’s so many reasons that I need you to stay
Don’t give up on me you need to live another day
Hey there little world you know you mean so much to me
Even though I know that it is killing me to breathe
I don’t want to live here, but you know I’ve got to try
In the back of my mind, one day I will wave goodbye
I don’t want to sit down, but I don’t understand
What’s the difference between the change we all demand
There’s something in this world and I need some relief
I can’t find it in my head, I need to turn to a new leaf
Hey there little world you know you mean so much to me
Even though I know that it is killing me to breathe
I don’t want to live here, but you know I’ve got to try
In the back of my mind, one day I will wave goodbye
Oh, this world’s so cold, it’s so cold.
I just want to stay in here where it’s warm
Oh, this world’s so cold, it’s so cold.
I just want to stay in here where it’s warm
Oh, this world’s so cold, it’s so cold.
I just want to stay in here where it’s warm
Oh, this world’s so cold, it’s so cold.
I just want to stay in here where it’s warm

No Thank You

I sit in a field, and I’m starting to feel like I’m not alone
My skin starts to peel faster than it’ll heal Hiding under my throne
I watch as these bugs crawl into my head, and I’m starting to see why
People go up to their roofs at night to see if they can fly
And I wonder what I’m doing here
I can’t remember something other than fear
All I want is to just disappear
And all I need is for my head to be clear
People go down to the corner store to fill up their prescription
They’re trying to hide, so they’re trying to fly and they know that they can’t run
They fall to the floor made of money and drugs and they turn into piglets
A sniff and a snort, The world will distort fight off all the hornets
And I wonder what I’m doing here
I can’t remember something other than fear
All I want is to just disappear
And all I need is for my head to be clear
I sit in a field and I’m starting to feel like I’m all alone
My skin starts to heal faster than it’ll peel sitting on top my throne
I watch as these bugs crawl out of my head, and I don’t understand why
People go up to their roofs at night to see if they can fly.

Porch Light
05:27
|
|||
I’ve been alone in my mind for a long time waiting for you
Time spent running along to a song written down for you
This feeling spreads, and my dear heart is racing. My heart my dear
This pen can’t write fast enough for me to say that in the night I’ll be fighting
But leave the porch light on and I’ll let myself in
don’t wait too long for me my dear
For I’m coming home
